All of my 6 fish so far came from these guys. Only had one with an extremely minor infection or rot, and that may have been partly or wholly my fault. I'm new to the hobby and when I reached out for help they hooked me up with the right meds and dosage, and the infection cleared within a week or two. The couple who runs the shop are very kind, patient, and knowledgeable. They want what is best for your fishy friends, not just to make a quick buck, and it shows. They also run a cute little rewards program that covers both thrift and aquatics, where you get a stamp every 15 you spend and when you fill the card you get 15 off your next purchase (that could be a free fish!) and entered in to a draw for a mini thrift shopping spree. Love these guys, couldn't recommend more.

Very smart and hands on owner. Helped me with everything I needed and can't wait to get some more fish and plants from him when I visit the city again. Photo is of my tank now that it is planted with the correct gravel

Recently discovered Jerry and his business and bought some shrimp from him, sadly my tank cycle crashed and I lost a few of my shrimp, he's been great, he gave me his personal number sold me a PH testing kit walked everything thru with me about it, told me to text him the results, we been working together for last 2 or 3 weeks now converting my cartridge filter to a sponge filter and getting my levels back under control. I highly recommend Shrimp Lover and Tropical Fish , for anyone new or experienced and his prices are great! He will now be the only person I'll deal with

Jerry is the best guy in the city for anyone looking to get fish. He lets beginners know all the steps required and makes himself available via text for any questions. Highly recommend him. He is clearly passionate and cares deeply about the fish in the store.

Jerry is so friendly, patient and kind. He makes it such a welcoming experience. His aquatic plants are honestly hands down the best I have seen and I travel to a lot of aquarium shops in Nova Scotia. You can tell he has a passion for this and cares about the fish. I am very grateful this shop opened.

very recently bought a few types of fish/plants from here, kuhlis, puffers, tetras and more. I am relatively new to the aquarium hobby, the employees went out of their way to help me, and to answer all my questions very directly. everyone was incredibly nice, willing to assist and answer all my questions. the selection of fish and general aquarium supplies is amazing, and very good quality too. the fish as I mentioned buying are all in excellent health, they were cared for very well as-well as the other ones in stock. i would suggest this place hands down for anyone experienced, or inexperienced to shop here for anything aquarium related. thank you for the excellent service, this place is now my go-to for everything aquarium related

I've been to many stores in HRM. This is the best place for people new to the hobby. Jerry is very friendly and patient, he takes the time to understand and advise. He's got a wide selection at very reasonable price. Very clean and well maintained as well

Would 100% recommend this store. Good selection of fish/shrimp at a fair price, and the owner is very knowledgeable about the hobby and clearly cares about the wellbeing of his animals and the satisfaction of the customer. This business provides quality that is non-existent at the big enterprises like PetCo, and I will continue to support it.

When we wanted to upgrade to a real Aquarium we had no idea where to start or what we even wanted. We were referred to Aqua Creations. Sol was great.
