Wonder experience, the employee/ owner was very knowledgeable about fish— I purchase 3 beautiful fish, a tank and everything I needed and every single step of the way she was educating me! The things I needed she explained to be how to use them and why you need to do it and the quantity , she even stayed on the phone with me while I was at home setting everything! Conveniently located downtown on Spadina! Huge aquarium location with a lot of different fishes and other things like real plants- I was very satisfied and just added 3 little guys perfect entertainment for my cats . Thank you so much
This is the best aquarium store I have ever been to, and I've been to plenty aquarium stores. Not only is the service incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, offering advice and support, but also it's such a clean store. All the fish/snails/shrimp are healthy, in clean tanks that look well suited. My heart always aches for Betta fish but Aquatropics is the first store in which the Bettas have little tanks instead of just containers, they all look lively and healthy. Honestly I wouldn't shop anywhere else.
Don’t buy fish from anywhere else but here! We’ve been coming here since my boys were small. The owner, Bob, is kind, super knowledgeable, and truly a fish whisperer. We get amazing customer service every time we visit. I highly recommend!

I've purchased many fish here without any issues - tetras, white clouds, rummynose, loaches. Usually a real good selection of snails as well, and the beta wall is just gorgeous and diverse.
Lots of exotics and a great website which is updated to show in stock items.
Many aquatic plants and mosses, starter kits and accessories - last winter when my heater broke Aquatropics saved my 🐟 by a good selection of heaters at affordable prices.
Clean and well organized, if you are a pet person, especially fish, definitely check this place out.

I've been many times to Aqua Tropics to support my daughter's interest in getting her first, and then her second fish tank. The owner, Bob, is so knowledgeable and passionate about fish. He offers great advice, even if it means you don't buy something from him that day. Snails, plants (live and fake), and food are also available, not just fish. We will always shop here for our fish and fish needs.

Nice little place in my neighbourhood. I got a bunch of cherry shrimp and a kuhli loach here and they are doing very well. I also got a betta here, but he didn't do so well. Started showing signs of fin rot almost immediately. Quite sad, but it happens I suppose.
ETA: The owner was very generous with respect to the loss of my betta. It's great to see a business that operates on honesty and integrity.
