Went there this Friday morning to buy a cage, toys and food for our new Cocktail bird. We saw a teenage guy playing with a bird named Rainbow. The guy was very friendly and he seemed to be having good knowledge about birds and other small animals. After buying the cage and some other stuff the guy also explained to me on how I should be taking care of my new bird. At last, he gave us their shop card and told that we can call them any time for any questions or concerns.
Overall a very nice Pet shop. The prices there are reasonable also their staff is very friendly. Would like to visit this shop again.
Travelled from north of Belleville to check out this store. It was clean, birds all seemed in good feather and health. The fish tanks were clean. Prices for parrot supplies were very reasonable, decent variety. We also purchased a ringneck parrot . We are experienced parrot owners and are very pleased with him, he is in great feather, very tame and came with his DNA certificate.Staff were friendly . They have a beautiful blue and gold macaw I would love to have (if only they had payment plans).I will return again and highly recommend.
Best pet store around! The owner helped me with all my questions, he was patient with my decision making. He clipped my birds nails and helped me pick out a friend for my bird by introducing her to all of her options. I will definitely be going back and i would recomend central pet to anyone with any bird care questions, general supplies or adopting.

I purchased my bearded dragon from here almost a year ago and he is gorgeous! The gentlemen who breeds them was on site and is able to be contacted, showed me the parents of my little baby and was very informative! They have a great selection of animals that you can’t really find at other places! Staff is always friendly when I go back would recommend

I recently went to Pet Central for the first time and it’s very underwhelming.
The first thing that occurs is you are hit by the horrible odour. It’s so bad, I had to hold my hand over my nose for a few minutes. WTH? You can’t clean it properly? Hire someone to do it if you’re not able or too lazy. Other Pet Stores manage cleanliness so don’t blame it on anything but neglect.
I was looking for a Parakeet and they had two big filthy cages of different birds that I looked at with one salesgirl in the store.
The cages were baron without a toy or anything for these poor birds to enjoy. The bottom was covered in feces and it stunk so bad, it made your eyes water.
I ended up buying 2 birds and felt more like I was saving them, rather than purchasing them. I also purchased a cage and that too had to be scrubbed clean with vinegar and water because it was thick with dirt and dust.
At the time, I didn’t realize that Pet Smart sells birds too and the difference is like day and night. Try there before going anywhere else, “Please”.
Had I realized, I would of gone there first.
Pet Smarts birds are just a couple dollars
more and they’re so well kept with toys, the cages are immaculate, birds all look happy and chirping etc...

I bought my two Parakeets some nice toys and exercise gadgets to make up for their sad lives up until I saved them. They are both happier now and enjoy playing with everything.
I wish I could of saved all the birds at Pet Central.
Terrible way to do business and I am surprised they are able to continue to be in business in these conditions.

If you think all Pet Stores smell (as your salesgirl told me) take a walk into Pet Valu or Pet Smart.
Also, why not take the time that you spend replying to people’s reviews and maybe do some healthy cleaning throughout the entire store. (;
Owner, manager not present, one teenage girl, though good at her job, cannot run the place by herself, fish tanks dirty, mammals and birds take priority, place has overall unclean feel, all animals appeared very well cared for and one fish ,out of the 12, I purchased, died, good odds. Not a whole lot of inventory but you can at least get the basics and a bit more for all kinds of pets. Wish there was an adult in charge and present to speak with about future business I may have wanted to do there and questions I had that the teenager couldn't answer. Probably won't go back...maybe for a fish..maybe, or if I am ever in the need of a hamster. There was a spectacular parrot there, not sure if it was for sale and some nice looking conures and other birds as well.

I am just not able to understand why other people's are complaining so much about this place, I have bought Conure, Cockatiel, and lovebirds from this place and they all are doing really well. Even the store owner is really helpful and understanding guy. I really don't indeunders why the other people's are having such bad experience in here. I have also seen many animals that they have rescued. I just want to end by saying that if you are really a pet lover and can take a good care of your pet then you should once visit this place. This guys are more expert on birds, reptiles and small animals side. This are just my honest and truthful views.
