Horrible experience. When our cat was stumbling around the house and lethargic, they told my roommate she’d have to prepare herself for them to euthanize the cat!! Turns out he was diabetic and his condition is entirely treatable. Our other cat was having issues breathing and what a horrible experience again! They misdiagnosed him with pneumonia, gave us medication to give him for 2 weeks, and after we went back because after the 2 weeks he wasn’t improving, they were trying to charge us again $120 because “it had been too long since the last time they saw the cat” … they were going to charge us over $450+ for an xray just to withhold our cat’s results until we pay them another $120. After looking online I found a much better vet that was charging HALF of that for the same thing, and the follow up/result was at no extra cost! They also tried to sell us overpriced medications when we were able to get them at the pharmacy for significantly cheaper. And to top that all off, they called our cat by the wrong name, would mix up his file all the time and would schedule him for appointments he didn’t need!! We would have to correct them on multiple occasions about what our cat was named and what appointment he had. if you want to save yourself $ and a huge headache, don’t go here..

I have always had good experiences with the veterinarians, technicians, and reception staff here, but my recent interaction with management left a very bad impression.
I requested an external prescription and was told there is a $37.50 fee, which feels excessive. I checked the Ordre des médecins vétérinaires du Québec website and my understanding is that an external prescription should not be charged more than an internal prescription. I then reviewed my past invoices from this clinic and I have never been charged a separate prescription fee for prescriptions provided in the past.
When I raised this, I was told the “prescription fee” is included inside the medication price. That is frustrating because invoices should be clear and itemized, and it makes it impossible to understand what I am actually being charged for.
The receptionist spoke to management, and the response was essentially: if you are not happy, they can transfer my pet’s file to another veterinarian. I was disappointed by how dismissive this was, especially as a returning client.
The care team has been great, but based on this experience, management appears to prioritize fees over transparency and client service. I would not recommend this clinic if you value clear billing and respectful communication.

I would like to take the time to thank one of the receptionists (initial beginning with a G) for showing me incredible empathy and extreme kindness, and for being the only staff member there who validated me and took me seriously. Thank you, you truly made a difference and this review has nothing to do with you. You are truly lovely.
My 5 year old cat began stumbling while he walked one morning so I took a video and sent it to them. When I called them, I explained that I had a limited budget but if I knew an estimate of how much tests would cost I could borrow the money and come in the same day. The person on the phone then told me to prepare myself for euthanasia if I couldn't pay for treatment or tests, based on one video without having even met my cat.
As I was sobbing, she coldly told me the price of euthanasia.
I have full proof of this as it is acknowledged in my file.
It turns out he has diabetes and hypertension. DR.Pilon was professional but dismissive of my experience on the phone, saying its normal procedure when clients have limited budgets.
This should NOT have been said to me on the phone to scare and shame me.
They also overcharge for everything. $70 medication that costs $17 at the pharmacy. They tried to charge me $150 just to show me how to use insulin.
Apart from this, there were many other issues. They rescheduled me multiple times, they scheduled my cat who needed an xray for laser treatment instead, they called my cat by the wrong name and kept mixing up his file.
When I first called to tell a receptionist about my bad experience and also confirm my other cat's xray, he told me that I needed to pay for a consultation (I was told I would not have to because he already had a consultation where he was given unnecessary pneumonia medication when he actually has asthma). He said that if I do not pay for a consultation, they would withhold my cat's results.
When I told him about the bad experience and various frustrations and asked him to please make a note in my file, he said he would.
After I received my file I confirmed that he never made any sort of note at all and lied to me.
They tried to charge me $30 for sending me the prescription for my cat's blood pressure medication.
They waived the fee as a "gesture" for everything I went through.
How generous.
Disgusting, manipulative, and cold.
Dont go here. I am surprised that you guys have such a high rating.
Worst experience ive ever had and it made an already very stressful situation so much worse.

I am deeply and eternally grateful for the love and care everyone at this clinic showed towards my dog as she died of cancer. It was a really hard time for us and their support and compassion was immense. They provided my sweet dog excellent health care after she was misdiagnosed at another clinic and took charge of her case right away. I highly recommend this clinic and Dr Vacaflor and trust them with the care of our animals we love so much

I had a great first experience in this clinique! My beagle Sheridan was previously a lab testing animal and I wanted to make sure he is healthy/up to date with his vaccines. I tried more than few vets that do not accept new clients or put me on a long waiting list. Fortunately, I was able to find this clinique through a Facebook ad and they booked me an appointment really fast. Although we live in Laval, I am confident we will continue returning here! The staff is amazing and really professional! They tried their best to make us comfortable during the visit ! Although my dog was nervous and hates vaccinations, he was handled with care and not even an hour after our visit he was happily running in the dog park. The vet Dre Caroline Picard ( she is amazing!!) also outlined what procedures my dog will need without pressuring me into them and she did offer me alternative options. She also outlined a plan for next year's vaccination and pending procedures, therefore I am able to prepare from now / plan ahead of time. The vet technician was also knowledgeable about the place from where my dog is coming / knew how to deal with the laboratory documentation that I had, and she was kind to assure me that my dog should be fine since I was genuinely worried about him. Furthermore, I think pricing was also very reasonable. Overall I am really happy about my experience there and would highly recommend this clinique !
Vet would fear monger to emotionally manipulate you into purchasing more at an extorted price. Incredibly insensitive and suggested killing my animal before treatment options.
Also will ask for a 120$ consult every time to follow up and would withhold test results unless a consult was made. Absolutely disgusting people and should be avoided
Great Clinic. I’ve had a hard time to find good clinic for Moto(Akita breed) because he has very special personality. At first meeting Dr. Genvieve Pilon was just amazing she didn’t scare of him at all unlike others doctors. Moto feel good with dr. Pilon and eat her treats which he’s normally don’t. I remember everytime I brought him to other clinic 3-4 people had to hold him and they were stress and scare of him I don’t feel comfortable to bring my baby there cuz I don’t see they understand him. But since I brought him to this clinic he loves it when he comes in to clinic he’s calm and lie down on the floor and wait but other clinic he keeps barking non stop and stress. Highly recommend this clinic and thank you so much again Dr. Genvieve Pilon for being so kind to him. 🙏

Last year, after my dog passed, I went to return an unopened bag of dry food that was purchased 2 weeks earlier at the clinic. They did not accept to take it back because it was not a brand they usually carried - although I had purchased it there, and had my receipt. Even worse, when purchasing the food, I was told I could return it even if it was opened, if my dog didn’t like it. I finally explained I was returning the food because my dog had passed away 3 days earlier (he had an emergency, and passed at another clinic)… obviously, the unopened bag wouldn’t be used. Still, they did not accept the return. With the hope of making this whole experience slightly less terrible, I headed out to the SPCA to donate the food.
At the end of the day, I am taking the time to write this review, not because of the refund I never got, but because I can’t believe the lack of empathy that I was met with while grieving my pet’s passing. I had multiple hiccups with the front desk as well before: missing or incorrect prescriptions even when we had called ahead of time, incorrect dosage, etc. It’s really unfortunate, because the veterinary team is excellent.
I’m sharing my experience because I do believe there are vets who care and are great at what they do, but I hope more training and attention is given to the staff that also impact our experience after the vet’s intervention is done, and ultimately leave us with our last impression of the clinic.
