I absolutely love this store. Stopping to look at the fish is always a highlight of my day when I am getting cat food. Also they have a great selection of great quality catnip toys.

It’s an absolute shame how the rodents are kept… Not acceptable. They smell super strong and will probably get lung infections so much quicker if you shop rather than adopt from someone. They have not a SINGLE thing to climb on, and hardly anywhere to hide. It’s honestly disgusting and terribly disheartening. The bird cages almost look more acceptable for a rat than the rat cages are. The store and employees all seem attentive and wonderful otherwise, it’s just this that really upsets me.

If you're looking for an incredible staff who is knowledgeable about the ins and outs of their livestock then stop here. Big box stores are moving product to make money, critter is more of an adoption experience even for the smallest of animals. We had the opportunity of learning from Nate who was outstanding. We had a great experience adopting our new Leo Gecko, we walked out confident that we had all the tools and knowledge we needed to create a safe loving environment for our new family member. Welcome Maple to the family Ms Maple ❤️

My first time coming to this location and I could not have asked for a better experience. I had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Nate and Jason. Both were not only professional and soo friendly but also very knowledgeable. My visit was short but they taught me so much about different mosses and what could work best for my terrarium set up. I will definitely be coming back!

We absolutely love this store! They gave me both my reptiles and I am so thankful! They helped me Provide the absolute best care for My snake. I’ve never had a ball python and o got help from Nate! Absolutely knowledgeable staff!

Great store, employees seem to be super knowledgeable and were quick to help! Super friendly, and an overall lovely place. The array of reptiles they have is quite impressive!

Fantastic canadian owned store with awesome, well educated staff. I couldnt possibly reccomend this store enough. Great selections, well cared for critters in the side room, the betta fish in specific basically live in mini palaces! They take animal welfare very seriously, and will do special orders on animals if its at all reasonable to do. Seriously, the staff here all have so much compassion. You can tell they all really love their jobs, and for a good reason.

This is the best pet store I have ever been to in Ottawa. I do not normally write reviews, let alone for a pet store but they really set the standard that shops should for fish care. The employees were so sweet and knowledgeable, and they had some of the healthiest betta fish you could probably get in Ottawa at a store. What really put them over the top is they did an amazing job politely and respectfully refusing fish sale to someone without the proper tank set up for what they were attempting to purchase. Would give 6 stars if I could, they deserve all the business they can get :)
