Used to drive all the way from New West on a recommendation for this groomer. The biggest positive for Dharma Dog is that our dog enjoyed coming here an was always calm and happy when he was dropped off, and seemed to have a great, stress free grooming session the few times we brought him in. Sadly, the last visit his trim wasn’t done very well and the service wasn’t great. They had shaved his belly, even though on 2 previous visit we had requested they do not. Perhaps this was our fault for not being clear, but it honestly looked like a rush job to the point where people commented to us how bad his grooming looked. We can appreciate that an our breed’s double coat poses more of a challenge for groomers to manage with matting etc. Maybe they just ran out of time. Stood at the counter for about 15 minutes waiting to be helped at pickup after being called. A staff member was sitting outside the front, possibly on break. Nobody was keeping an eye on the front desk. Finally got service after another patron came in and banged on the window for the grooming area. First visit the trim was great, second was ok, third was pretty sloppy and seemed rushed. Perhaps the last visit was just an extra challenging day for the staff, but was disappointing enough that we chose to not go back. We have since found a groomer closer to home that seems to be a better fit for the type of breed we have and his more challenging coat. Although the new groomer request that customers books a bit extra time for dematting, they still manage to get done in a few hours, full groom with all the extras for about the same price. Honest opinion would be to consider other groomers first, there are other options that may be a better fit based on your type of breed.

My dog Sophie loves “Miss Kayla”. And she always gives her a cute and pretty cut. Choose the right groomer for your pet is super important.

I would love to brag about this company as they used to do a very good job on my miniature poodle and both of my sisters standard poodles. Unfortunately, my last few visits with them weren’t as positive. Not only has the attention to detail dropped dramatically cut after cut where my poodle ended up looking like a terrier twice the third time the haircut was decent, but her lady parts cut and not only was I not advised, but I was lied about it. We know our dogs my dog was in more distress than usual so I called to ask if anything had happened and they said no when I got home and took a look as she was incisively, licking and saw the cuts called them and they denied anything having happened. I let them know that the cuts were obvious and she’s excessively licking and in pain and was told that the manager would get back to me….No one has. I left a few voice messages but again no one reached out. I get that things happen in appointments but lying about them and trying to cover them up is not the way to keep clients. Not to mention again I got a terrier cut. As of today I still haven’t gotten a call about the incident and it looks like they aren’t interested in my business so moved on. Open to leads or advice on reputable Grooming companies!!

This is the third time we brought our dog here! The staff “ stephine “ was kind on the phone ! But that doesn’t cover the fact she cut my dog skin off! My appointment was at 8am today August 31st! My dogs ears were not even clean or trimmed! Yet I felt a lot of water coming out! Her ears were not even dried off!!! I paid full price for a full groom! And my sister tipped her! Now I have to take my puppy to the vet cause of her reckless care. She didn’t even tell me my dog was cut until I saw! I am very disappointed as now I will be going to the vet and paying that visit price! The lady who answered the phone said " stephine worked on my dog and I do feel she rushed away this job! My dog only weighs 5pounds!!! This is very ridiculous!!! I hope a manager will be contacting me asap! Thank you

Dharma dog is the best place for grooming services! My pup, Michi, has been groomed by Kaila since Sept 2024 and nails it every time. Michi does have a biting history and I do bring her muzzle each time, but Dharma Dog handles her so well that Michi has grown to love everyone and doesn’t even use her muzzle (even allows them to pet her - big wow!) Definitely bring your pets here!! 🫶🏼

I took my very shy little foster dog here for a nail trim. We were in and out in probably five minutes and they were so good with him. I was worried he was going to have a scary time and need to be muzzled, but they were patient with him and made him (and us) feel more calm. The staff working today were also very lovely, very good experience!

Kaila has been my dog Kahoni’s groomer for years and she is kind, professional and does an excellent job with our dog. Our dog has staining on her face and has been checked by a vet on many occasions and she is in excellent health. The staining is just cosmetic and Kaila has been so kind in how she takes care of Kahoni brushing her teeth and giving her hair cuts. Never saying anything about the staining in a derogatory manner. I actually think the grooming at Darma dog has improved the staining. Thank you for helping us with our grooming needs.

I visited Dharma for the first time this past weekend. The shop is clean and well organized. My first impression was on how zen the place looked and felt.
