Machi is always happy 😃 when he gets groomed here at the groom room . I hear so many horrible stories from other pets parents I will always recommend the groom room to them . So far my friends are also happy 😃. Thank you Groom Room and all the staff !!!!

Update: My husband asked for “same as last time”, and the lady who was at the counter asked which one (#4, 5, whatever), he said same as last time. Just trim and on the bum and belly shaved… never asked for her to be fully shaved. Can you leave negative stars? I’ve been taking my Pomeranian here since we moved to Vancouver 4 years ago. Always just ask for trim (because of the two coat on Pomeranians) and bum area to be a bit shaved. Got my dog today and she was fully shaved, took the outside coat fully off… which means it may never grow back. Terrible service.

Horrible first puppy haircut. I specially asked for no beard and they gave her a beard. They cut her shorter than I asked for. There was no blending around her face, it's choppy and you can see staircases. Then they left 1 clump of hair behind her head super long. There is also a piece missing from her lip...Do not come here, you will regret it. Update: the groomer gave me an excuse that my puppy's hair is growing in multiple directions (she has wavy hair so that is normal). They didn't know how to cut it, so he said they just kept cutting it over and over again hoping it could get even. They clearly do not have the skills to cut doodles.

This is the review I wish I had read before bringing my dog here. I have a Wire Haired Fox Terrier, and the breed needs to be hand stripped. Hand stripping is a complex process, and the Groom Room claimed they knew how to hand strip and had done so on other WFTs, so, foolishly, I believed them. They do not know how to hand strip a WFT and they don’t know what they are doing. They might be fine with clippers, but do not bring your dog here if he has a wire coat. They butchered his face. His coat isn’t properly stripped, it’s just thinned out, and they’ve clipped his coloured coat, so the colour will not grow back properly. I asked them several times if they had done this before or knew what they were doing. They either lied or are delusional. If they had just been honest and said they did not have the skill set I would have found somewhere else. Based on some text messages I received from them, it seems they were using ChatGPT to learn how to groom him in real time. Communication was difficult as English is not their first language. They seemed to be saying our previous groomer hadn’t properly hand stripped him, or had been lying to us and had actually used clippers, which is simply not true. Our main groomer actually knows how to groom terriers, she just wasn’t available, and wouldn’t be for several months. Fixing this mess will be costly and will take several sessions with a real, professional groomer. UPTADE: the last photo is the day we picked him up from a groomer that actually knows what she is doing. She was amazing and repaired the Groom Room’s damage. This is what he should have looked like. Hope the contrast illustrates how deranged he looked.

First experience here with my dogs who are rarely groomed. I found the staff to be professional, cordial, and well organized. Communication was awesome as they called mid-groom to check about length on my thinner haired terrier. My dogs came out happy, soft, and looking great! We'll be coming here again :)

JJ is the best and so good with my dog with high anxiety and my other goofy clumsy dog. Bella and Hugo love it and they always look amazing after 😍 here is a picture after their latest groom. JJ also did my first dog who had bad epilepsy and he was so kind to him I always feel my babies are safe at The Groom Room.

Our boys have gone to the Groom Room for many years. They are professional and oh so kind. They refer to our dogs as "the big boys". I recommend them highly.

I brought my two poodles to The Grooming Room a few times, thinking it would be better for them to stick with a familiar place. But after a couple of visits, the experience kept getting worse. Their haircuts became more and more uneven completely inconsistent from head to toe. The worst part! One of the groomers cut my poodle’s nail too short—so short that it bled heavily. When I picked her up, there were bloody paw prints all over the floor, and shockingly, the staff hadn’t even noticed! Only after I pointed it out did they try to stop the bleeding with some powder, but it kept bleeding on and off for over an hour. Imagine if someone cut off part of the skin on your toe! my poor dog was in so much pain and clearly traumatized! It absolutely broke my heart. On top of that, they shaved a huge patch on my other poodle’s leg, way shorter than the rest of his body completely uneven and careless. To make things even worse, they still charged me $300 ! This was a horrifying experience, and I will never bring my dogs here again. If you truly care about your pets, stay far away from this place!

I have had Kaori groom my standard poodle for 13 years and was always grateful that she had a very nice and long term relationship with Kaori.
