I reached out to Rob and Robin for help with my 1.5-year-old Cane Corso, Cosmo. He was attacked on a walk when he was 5 months old, and since then, I haven’t been able to pass or even see another dog on a walk without him lunging and growling.
Over the past year, I had also worked with a few other trainers, but we still struggled with his reactivity. After having a baby, he became even more reactive toward dogs, and I dreaded every single walk. I was constantly on alert, trying to avoid other dogs and only walking Cosmo at times of day when hardly anyone was outside.
After just 3 private sessions with Rob, I’m now able to walk Cosmo and calmly pass by any dog we come across. It has seriously been life-changing to finally enjoy and look forward to our walks again!

I connected with Rob at K9 Connections after observing a few concerning behaviour changes in my 10 month old Malinois, Arlo. Rob spent a generous amount of time understanding the issue and developed a plan to address it. We jumped into work quickly, Rob explained his reasoning and directions clearly always respecting the dog and my relationship with him. Arlo is being trained as a search & recovery human remains dog so his behaviour is extremely important. That said, he's a Malinois and Rob understood the breed and was able to provide excellent support, tools and education to help me & Arlo succeed. After 6 private sessions I am thrilled with his neutrality around dogs and people and his focus is fantastic. Thank you Rob for your patience and guidance!

My 1 year old Lab Bodhi just finished working with Rob and the exceptional traineers at K9 connections and the results are amazing!
They truly love dogs here and it shows. The facilities are wonderful but what really stands out is their passion for the work and helping owners as much as the dogs.
The cost is fair, reasonable and worth every penny.

I have been meaning to write about my experience with K9connections. It is long overdue but so worth sharing! I reached out at a time when I was at my wits end with my blue heeler Arlo. Arlo had some significant reactivity and lack of confidence. I had tried the typical training methods which provided some basic skills but did not address the reactivity. In addition, I had recognized that Arlo had some hearing issues which further complicated his training. Immediately after meeting Rob and Robin I was at ease. They did not make me feel like I was incompetent or being judged. In fact, I left with hope that I could make a change under their guidance. And change happened...quickly! It takes work, but the methods Rob and Robin taught me have transformed what I called my "beast of burden" into a pleasant and much less reactive dog. He continues to have his moments but I have learned to recognize what may be triggering the behaviour and have the tools to address. It is incredible that I can now walk both my dogs anywhere in town and not have to re-route every time I see something that might cause a reaction. Arlo is a pleasure to walk and I love that I can stop and have a conversation with someone passing by. I often get a comment on how well trained he is and how handsome he is. It was truly life changing and I am forever grateful that I connected with K9connections!

We brought our extremely fearful/anxious rescue dog Georgia to K9 Connections for a 6 week training program with uncertain expectations for how she would respond to training.
Our apprehension was solely based off of our previous experience with another dog trainer that just did not understand Georgia and how to properly communicate with her.
Because of Georgia’s deep rooted fearfulness she can be quite reactive with people and dogs.
Upon our initial assessment with Rob and Robin we immediately saw that they understood Georgia and would be able to properly communicate and support her through her training.
While I think Rob and the trainers at K9 connections will all agree Georgia was tricky to figure out.
They were able to find tools that effectively communicated to Georgia what was being asked of her.
I honestly didn’t think that we would ever be able to combat Georgia’s big feelings about life but the K9 connections team was able to get us to a point where we can confidently have Georgia off leash with her stellar recall and we now have the tools and knowledge to go about our daily lives where we can continue to grow Georgia’s confidence and teach her that the world isn’t a scary place.
Thank you for everything you’ve done for us and all of the other dogs/owners that have the privilege of being guided by your team, your love of dogs and their well being is admirable!
We are so happy we found K9 Connections, because of them Georgia’s world has gotten a lot bigger.

Rob, Robin and the crew at K9 Connections are the pinnacle of modern dog training. We are so impressed with the progress they made with our dog! They were glad to go the extra mile to listen to us and make sure they provided the best advice and training for our needs.
They use the latest tools and knowledge for your dog, but more importantly you can tell that everyone there REALLY cares about every dog. We are so happy that she was loved, and that she came back to us more confident than ever. Wish I could give 10 stars. Thank you so much K9C!
Tito and Ollie went to K9 Connections for the month of Feb. What a transformation! From dogs that were in charge of the house and the owners to dogs that are now well on their way to being behaved, crate trained,place trained ( they love their place) and dogs we can walk, not dogs that walk us. The trainers were attentive caring and built strong relationships with both dogs. We are still learning and will continue to work and build on the skills they have and we were given. "grateful"!!

We brought our 4 year old American Bully mix to the team at K9 Connections with a laundry list of issues… no manners, destructive in the house, unpredictable around people, reactive to dogs and the list went on… We enrolled Jax into a 4 week board n train program and hoped for the best. We received several updates about Jax and his progress throughout his stay which was nice to see!
We are so incredibly thankful for Rob, Kayla and Robin! They have given us the tools we needed to build a better relationship with Jax. We now have structure in our home, rules are respected and walks in public places aren’t a nightmare for us anymore.
We have nothing but good things to say about the K9 Team and are so glad we found them!
