We just switched to Dr. Kato, and we couldn't be happier. The attention and care we receive from Dr. Kato and her team is outstanding. We have a troubled pup, and Dr. Kato and her team are so patient with all of our questions. We feel heard and trusted in the relationship, which is so important. It is also clear that Dr. Kato is an independent vet, not part of a larger corp and we really appreciate that as she is not always demanding tests and is free to offer us different options. So far, we are so happy with our decision to switch to Dr. Kato! :)

After many failed attempts with other local vets, I was grateful to find Kato Animal Hospital 4 years ago. The difference in care and attention was immediate and consistent. I now travel from Collingwood to Toronto just for my dog’s annual appointments because I trust them completely with his care. They are thorough, professional, and take the time to explain things clearly without rushing the visit. Thanks kato team !

Dr.Kato and her team have been seeing my cat for the past 2-3 years. Everyone is very patient with my cat, who is VERY aggressive with strangers. He’s always treated so kindly & warm. I hope he can open up a bit more at the vet someday. Thanks for all your work & patience with him.

We brought our cat there for a consultation concerning some vomiting issues. Dr. Kato listened patiently, gave detailed options, and the staff was very professional, kind and helpful.

My daddies have been taking me here since I was a puppy. The staff is very nice and helpful. Dr. Kato is very knowledgeable, understanding and very gentle with me. She gives good advices on what should and shouldn't do, and not selling products or to any unnecessary treatment. I am very happy with this place. Oh, they have cookies and liver treats to lure my attention before they give me a needle. Awesome! Cedric.

I searched everywhere for the right vet to take my dog to. Dr Kato is it. She’s the best vet I’ve ever been to. She actually takes the time to sit down and talk to you about your pets well being. Every time she sees my boy she sits on the ground at his level, plays with him, gives him treats, and talks to him. She genuinely cares about his well being and mine too haha! This is my first pet ever and I’m definitely the over protective,way too worrisome pet owner and she eases my anxiety. Her receptionist Blair is amazing. He’s always friendly to me and knows all of his stuff. If I have any questions about medicine or treatment plans he knows what to say and recommend. If you need to take your pet to a reliable and hard working vet clinic this is place people. I will be moving soon but will make an effort to keep coming here.

Dr. Kato is wonderful. Her kindness and compassion is such a rare quality to find. We moved to her a few years ago and are so happy we did. She has been thorough and assisted with our dog who has a very complicated health history. When we needed a referral to a specialist, she followed up multiple times to make sure it was done timely. We have now had to make the hardest decision a pet owner ever has to make. She helped us through the decision with kindness compassion and speaking of her experience and what she has seen. She truly is a wonderful vet who cares so much. We feel so fortunate to have found her in the last few years of our girls life, when we needed her most. Thank you Dr. Kato.

As soon as I stepped into the door, a staff member immediately approached me and asked if I would enroll my dog in a monthly medication plan without knowing anything about the dog. I declined. When the examination time comes, the doctor suggested that she could trim some hair off on the dog's belly. I thought that she was being kind until I was the given the bill at the end, which indicated $10 per minute for shaving. I can safely say that this place genuinely cares about money a lot more than your pet. I never went back.
