We have shopped at Little Critters at Billings Bridge for many years! We’ve bought everything from hamsters to a puppy. Our experience has always been excellent. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and the product has been top notch, in fact the pug we purchased was the best dog we have ever had! She came from a breeder and we were provided with information and an excellent health guarantee. It’s obvious when you go in the store that the puppies and other animals are well cared for and loved! Little Critters has the most unique supplies of any pet store we have come across and they back up their product.

Bought a black miniature toy poodle from the Gloucester Center location almost 8 years ago and she is amazing. Perfect temperament, healthy, intelligent, perfect body structure and symmetry, no problems at all and just a wonder of a family pet. The staff was friendly, easy to work with and gave a discount on a cage, food, toys etc when we bought our beloved Maggie.

My daughter loves dogs and wants me to get her a puppy. We visit this pet store when ever we are in Billings bridge mall. I find the owners disinterested and not helpful when asked questions about the dogs, they can never give any information on the name of breeder. I have bought a Betta fish from this pet store and it died after a few weeks. I will never buy any pets from this store.

I regularly purchase fuzzy mice at this location for my pet corn snake. Most pet stores sell prepackaged mice of the same size, but the Little Critters in Billings Bridge mall receives their mice directly from a mouse breeder. When I went today to the store, they gave me extremely small sized fuzzy mice. I brought the mice that I had purchased there earlier to compare, and they were almost twice as big. When I showed the size difference to the owner and manager, they were unwilling to solve the issue for me. They suggested that I simply feed my snake twice the amount (which would cost twice as much), but refused to give me a discount, or extra mice to make up for the extremely small mice they gave me. The manager was not only unwilling to resolve my issue, but was also rude and unprofessional during my visit (condescending tone of voice, walking away during conversation and acting disengaged, cutting me off while speaking). I suggested that the store uses some sort of method to provide consistency for size of mice, and the manager simply scoffed at me.

Horrible experience. Their purebred American Cocker Spaniel that they sold us for $1200.00 turned out to be a cross between a Springer Spaniel and an American Cocker Spaniel. We never received the registration papers for it naturally and they refused to tell us the breeders name even after we purchased it which the sign in their store stated they would do after purchase. The puppy it also turned out, had worms and kennel cough and we (our vets and ourselves) suspected this puppy had not been vaccinated even though they claimed it had. Warning...you are not rescuing a puppy from a pet store here. You may be supporting puppy mills.

DO NOT BUY DOGS FROM HERE. My wife and I bought an "Olde English Bulldogge" from here. After she grew to half the predicted size, we knew something was up. We sent her DNA for testing and it came back as half Pug, half English Bulldog and a few other breeds. We should have known that something was up when the infamous pet store owner said that she couldn't produce the breeder's papers. Our fault for being too trusting. Her fault for being a shady and immoral business owner. A local vet also said that Little Critters has a reputation for buying from puppymills. I have also spoken to an anti-puppymill organization who mentioned they're investigating her as well. Bottom line, if Cruella de Vil ran a pet shop. This would be it. P.S. the post below of "I bought my dog here and upon purchase I recieved all the breeders information..." is a total troll. Guaranteed written by Cruella herself or one of her minions.

Today (Wednesday April 24th, 2013) my boyfriend and I stopped at Little Critters to look for branches to put in my bird's cage. We were followed into the store by two 13 year old loud teenagers cooing about the puppies in the window. Trying to keep our distance, we went and said hello to the parrots/birds at the front. The largest bird cage held a yellow-faced parrot who was in the process of skimming a grungy film off the top of his water dish. It looks like he had not been given fresh water in a minimum of 3 days. My boyfriend and I walked up and down the isles looking for the branches we came for but couldn't find anything similar to what we wanted. Wondering if maybe they were in the back, I made my way back to the front in time to hear the two young girls asking if they could please hold a puppy. As I waited behind them "in line", the youngest of the two women standing behind the register (maybe in her late twenties or early thirties) told the girls that "we don't take the puppies out just for people to 'play' with them". As the two girls walked back over to look at the puppies seeming a little defeated, the second woman (maybe in her fifties) looked at the first and in a very demeaning tone, mocked the two girls saying, "can you take out the puppies so we can play with them" and shook her head. I found this EXTREMELY disrespectful for many reasons. First, the two girls were still within earshot and most certainly heard what she said. Secondly, I was standing less than a metre away and heard the entire thing. And third, it was extremely unprofessional whether it was done in the front of the store or in the back. I am thoroughly unimpressed with my experience here. Normally the customer service is not this terrible however I notice the animals rarely have fresh food and/or water. I have spent the last hour looking for a contact for the owner but have been unable to find one. I suppose I will call the Humane Society.

Staff was quite unpleasant. Felt like I was hindering them by simply being in the store. The cages of the animals were dirty and lacked proper food and water. The humane society must be contacted and have this place shut down or have things changed asap. Very disappointed with my experience and I will be sharing it amongst peers! Get your $h*! Together !
