I got my fish here and they are doing great. A little old shop but great selection of fish. Fish are cheaper here than other aquarium shop. Good customer service too. I’ll be coming back for sure.

This place was recommended by a friend, I met Debbie the owner and she was skilled and very helpful, also gave us advice one which fish to choose, how to feed them, and how to take care of them. Visit this place and I am sure you will not regret it. Overall my friend took two fishes and I didn't get any because I have a cat at home 😢. I went here excited as I had heard so many great things. I purchased 4 nerite snails. I brought them home only to find that 2 of the snails were empty shells! I put the other two in my tank, hoping that at least two of the four would be okay..... NOPE! one of the two I put in the tank was deceased! I thought to myself that these things happen and I would return back ti Paul's the next morning, reserving my views of Paul's to see how they would deal with the situation. I called in and spoke to a gentleman who was very kind and said by all means to bring the three snails back. When I got there, the lady that sold me the snail approach me and I told her the situation. She immediately got defensive saying that all 4 snails were alive when she gave me them. She said it had to be my water that killed the snails. I told her that made no sense as it had only been a few hours and the tank is a shrimp tank with no fish in it. Plus, the one snail was alive and moving all around the tank. If it was the water, all four snails would be dead. I told her I didn't wish to debate it with her I just wanted my money back so I could leave. She gave me back my money.... with attitude. She totally made my experience at Paul's not pleasant. Not only will I never go back there, I have already advised a number of friends of what happened and they too are never going there. It serves me right for trusting the lady and not checking the snails at the time I purchased them. All I can say is if you go to Paul's, double check that what you are purchasing is healthy and alive. I am giving them.2 stars as the gentleman I spoke to was nice, but the lady ruined my Paul's experience.

We stop at this shop as a coincidence after doing our groceries, the place is assorted, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the price of the fishes were ok, i wish i could bring tiny to my home 🐡😂, the prices of the supplies i think are a bit high, the place has plenty of parking lots, easy access

I went to Paul’s aquarium for the first time after seeing the generally positive reviews and hearing it was one of the bigger freshwater aquarium retailers. What a shock. The tanks were rundown and neglected, glass, gravel, & ornaments all coated in algae. The couple working there were unenthusiastic and unfriendly, giving the impression the place is on the verge of bankruptcy and barely keeping its head above water (aquariun humor). We made the mistake of buying four fish. At checkout I asked if they warranty their fish. The response? “Absolutely not, our fish don’t die.” On day two, one was dead with slime on its tail, and the other three are lethargic. If you care about your fish family, I recommend you avoid this retailer and love your life!

i am not so knowledgeable about fish and fish food, women working there was rude and her attitude made me feel very uncomfortable .Not everybody coming in there know it all about fish , have some patience to explain what is what and which is which instead of giving this hatred look for not knowing what my fish likes to eat. have a smile on your face at the least . i will never go back there.

Prices are fair, and honestly this is probably the only really good aquarium store with a solid fish selection in Surrey, definitely better than PetSmart for sure. The fish quality and variety stand out, and you can tell they actually focus on the hobby. If you’re serious about aquariums, this is the place to go locally.

I was at first hesitant to try out Paul’s due to a recent negative review. Upon walking into Paul’s Aquarium I was greeted very warmly, asked if I needed any help and was given great advice for my tank. I was extremely impressed with the tanks — They are beautifully maintained, had a large variety of fish and plants and they were all very well cared for. The prices are reasonable and I can have the peace of mind of not supporting a chain like Petsmart. I will most definitely be returning for all my future aquarium needs!
