I had such an amazing experience at Pet Valu today. I was assisted by their representative, David, who helped me choose the right gift—a customized dog tag—for my friend’s dog. He assisted me with the engraving, explained the entire process clearly, and ensured everything went smoothly. Later, he beautifully packed the gift for me and even included a complimentary treat for the dog. This experience truly made my day. Thank you, David!

Posting photos of mentally unwell people, to shame them in public, on your store front doors, is enough for me to never return. Maybe a course on mental health awareness would allow the owner to grow as a person and learn that what they are doing is beyond wrong.
I was about to spend about $300.00 on dog gifts and left without spending a dime. I also used to order my dog food online from here, before seeing this. I have cancelled that now as well (approx. $1100.00 year).
Edit to reply to the stores response -
Not a SINGLE other store does this in the ENTIRE area. Calling this loss prevention proves you do not understand mental health concerns and is more proof that you need education on mental health and public safety. Your response has done nothing but confirm my beliefs. If it was solely for the workers to see who can and cant enter, it would be in front of THEM not at your doorfront to SHAME them. This is disgusting behaviour and you need to be educated.
Another note - I wonder if you have thought about the fact that you shaming mentally unwell people and poor people, publically on your storefront doors, is what is actually causing losses. $1400.00 all together, just from me (plus the additional 1100 in dog food you are not not getting from me every following year) truly wonder how many others have seen this disgusting behaviour and done the same as me, without letting you know.
And, your actions and words do not jive as doing this is 100% you stigmatizing those with mental health, while also exploiting them under the guise of "loss prevention". Again, you MUST be educated on the damage you do to your community with your actions.
