I’m not sure if this review should be under Pet Smart or not as I’ve had historically positive interactions with their staff, pre-ordering and curbside pickup. However, the rescue company that is used needs an attitude adjustment and overhaul. Two things can be true at the same time and my opinion is: is it great that there are people rescuing cats/animals? Absolutely and indisputable. Is it insane you can’t even interact with the cats at this location unless you’re committing to adopting? 100%. Out of other pet stores, humane societies and other rescues, this is the ONLY rescue that doesn’t agree with interacting and socializing the animals. I spoke with Bonnie (the rescue organizer) personally, and she stated clear as day that the 30 minutes of interaction they get every morning with staff or herself is enough. Disgusting. Whether people want to adopt or they just want to pet the cats and show them some love as they shop, that should be encouraged as the more socialization the better. Keeping these cats isolated is inhumane and yet she argues that in the name of being a ‘rescue’. I’ve rescued 4 personally and have worked with other rescues and visit pet stores often to show animals love while I shop and I’ve never encountered such a rude coordinator or ethical concerns. Even the staff member at this location seemed upset by these rules and wished they could help but she won’t let them. Rescuing animals is great but not if you’re rescuing them just to confine and isolate them. Do better.

The haircut was terrible. I showed them a photo of exactly what I wanted, but they cut off way too much hair and it turned out uneven. I’m sure they only used clippers, no scissors. They also cut too much around the nose. If they want to do it their way, fine, but I asked for it to look like the photo. I can’t believe they just made it up… nothing like the picture. Horrible. I will never go back. I paid way too much. I do not recommend this place for dog grooming.

Heather was the most kind, knowledgeable, and wonderful employee we’ve ever met. She answered all our questions about Hamsters so comprehensively and really left us so much more knowledgeable than we were coming in. We will always be asking for her for all our pet needs thank you!

I just had the best experience - an employee named Marshall helped me saved thirty bucks by patiently walking me through the savings app. They were so patient and friendly with my kids while I had to update my password and all that. Thanks Marshall - you made my day!!

Keira working in the fish department was awesome tonight. She was knowledgeable about any questions we had but most of all she was patient with my son who had his eyes on two specific little fish amongst 20 others in the tank lol. Much appreciated! Rainbow, slippery and Scatter are happily adjusting in their new tank!

This was the PetSmart at RICHMOND and Fanshaw. My groomer was Melody and she did an excellent job on my bichon. Poo would definitely go again to her.

Wish I could give them a zero but it makes me give them 1 feel lucky! Every time I go to this store they never have a food I need only ever 18lb bags just to let you guys in a secret not everyone has a purse dog got 2 cane corso’s they would eat that in 2 sitting for real but they got 600 bags of chicken food so you jerks know chicken is bad for your dog it a overload of protein and can give you dog allergies and rashes good way to promote 👍🏼

We get our dog groomed here. We love Pablo, he's great with Stryker and does a wonderful job grooming him. Highly recommend him.

Not happy with this store. We went in to exchange some cat food and got turned away without receipt from online order. Other store helped us and even looked ...
