I really enjoy shopping at PetSmart. They have a great selection of toys and treats, good sales, and I love that pets are welcome in the store. However, based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend their training classes.
My first class was postponed by a week because they wanted to wait for more participants to join, which I understood. But when the class finally started, it was held right in the middle of a store aisle rather than in a dedicated training space, which made it difficult to focus and learn.
I also specifically asked for advice and support with crate training and overnight crate routines. I was told that they don't teach crate training and that I could put my puppy in the bathroom overnight and remind her not to bark. For many pet owners, that's simply not a realistic solution. I wasn't expecting anyone to force me to crate train, but I was hoping for practical guidance and helpful tips to address the challenges I was having.
What I found confusing was the mixed messaging. PetSmart sells crates and crate-training products throughout the store, yet the training program seemed unwilling to offer advice on how to use them appropriately. Crates can be a useful tool when used responsibly, so it would have been helpful to receive balanced information rather than feeling judged for asking about them.
Overall, I still love PetSmart for their products, sales, and pet-friendly atmosphere. I was just disappointed with the training experience and expected more practical support from a program I paid for.

I ordered cat food from this store on Feb 26/26. Each of the items indicated that they'd arrive in 1-3 days. No indication was marked that it was 1-3 "business" days. I figured they would be here this past Saturday given I live 2 hours away. When the order was placed, I received an email, indicating I would get a tracking number when shipped. Well, on Saturday, still no email with tracking, so I called the store. It was then that I received a tracking number, the girl (very polite) indicated there wasn't shipping by Fed Ex on Sunday, would probably receive it Monday. Monday came, I still hadn't received an email, so I looked up the FedEx number myself. It said the package would arrive Monday am. It didn't, but did arrive in the afternoon. That was a 5 day delivery to ship something 2 hours away!!!
The 3 stars are because all items were shipped, no damage. Actually the rep I spoke with deserves full marks too.
BUT....
There was no indication when I placed the order, that it would arrive in 1-3 business days.
They never emailed a tracking number (and nothing in spam).
It took 5 days from ordering to receiving items that were all marked in stock.
Complete failure!
I have no issue with Pet Smart products, but I will only order from them in the future if I can't find the type of food my kitten likes at another store.
Bottom line, if you order anything plan for a 5 day shipping!

Our family loves this store. It’s a great place to bring the kids to see the animals. They also have everything you could think of relating to your pets needs.
There is an animal training operation, a place for hair cuts and animal hotel. The prices are a bit less than you would get at the grocery store when it comes to food and there is so much more variety. The store is a bit older but operated very well.
I had a dog bath appointment with Chelsea scheduled that was cancelled with only 2 hours’ notice due to staff illness. While I understand that things happen, there was no offer to help rebook or accommodate me, and the interaction came across as dismissive. It would have been appreciated if some effort was made to reschedule or provide better customer service. Hoping management can improve how situations like this are handled.
