I was looking for food for my 10-year-old miniature poodle who has a chicken allergy, and I was really struggling to find a suitable option. Amanda approached us and recommended a food that turned out to be perfect for our dog.
She explained the ingredients clearly and also went over the return policy, which I really appreciated. Our dog loves the new food she recommended.
Thank you so much for your help. It was a great service experience with Amanda.
wasn't bothered once while i was in there and it was FANTASTIC (serious)! plenty of staff around for me to ask for help if i needed it. the cat adoption area is very spaceous. what i didn't like was the betta set-up (though this is a gripe i have with most stores selling bettas) and there isn't much of a selection for raw cat food in the freezers. i also wasn't specifically looking for this as i was just in to price compare, but i didn't see much from canadian brands that i'm familiar with, at least as far as the cat food selection went.

While the three staff members I encountered during the adoption process were very friendly, I was deeply concerned by the significant amount of misinformation provided regarding guinea pig care.
When I initially went in to adopt two guinea pigs, I was told that they would "kill each other" simply because they were both male. This was confusing as there were three males living together in the same cage at the time. I was then told that if I changed my mind, I could come back in a couple of weeks to get another.
Ironically, after adopting the first, I received a follow-up email from PetSmart correctly stating that guinea pigs are herd animals and thrive in pairs. I returned for a second companion.
Upon bringing them home, I noticed they were scratching excessively. They now have visible lice moving on their faces, a condition that was clearly present at the store and can only be treated by a veterinarian.
I also learned a frustrating detail regarding their 14-day health warranty: in order for PetSmart to treat the animals, you are required to "return" them to the store. You must then ask for them to be placed on hold while they receive treatment, at which point you can buy them back within two to three weeks. This is a stressful and counterintuitive process for both the animals and the new owners.
I urge this location to properly train staff on species needs and to perform health checks on their animals before they are put up for adoption. Please check your animals.
PetSmart is an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves spoiling their furry friends. I went shopping for my cat, Waffles, and left with the perfect toys and food to keep them happy and healthy. From the moment you walk in, the store feels bright, organized, and welcoming, making it easy to find everything your pet could need.
The selection is fantastic — from fun, durable toys to high-quality food options, there’s something for every type of pet. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help you pick out the perfect items for your pet’s needs. I appreciated how easy it was to get recommendations and advice to ensure [name] got exactly what they needed.
Whether you’re stocking up on essentials, looking for treats, or just want to spoil your pet, PetSmart is the place to go. It’s convenient, well-stocked, and makes shopping for your furry friend a true joy — [name] couldn’t be happier!
Went here a couple of days ago for the first time (in regina) and found some good items! The worker who helped my husband and I said he was new, he was very helpful and we were chatting about our aquariums! I ended up falling in love with this albino rubber lip pleco so the little fish came home with us! Also they had really nice quality aquatic plants. Which surprised me a bit, but I got this huge amount of plant that had a bunch of roots and sprouts and ended up being a lot and we placed them throughout our tanks to fill them out and so far I am really liking the plant, it was only $6.99!
