Staff is very friendly and helpful, I can always find what I need here. They have a grooming salon, and work with shelters to find pets new homes. They always have critters to admire and cute kitties ready for adoption 😁

i rarely write reviews (mostly because i've never seen this level of mistreatment of animals before), but what we seen in the betta fish section at this location was very concerning from a welfare standpoint. i'm not the fish police or some morally superior karen but when it comes to animals that are fully dependent, i genuinely could not care less lol. while the staff were polite, the overall condition of the fish was clearly giving widespread stress and neglect. almost all of the fish displayed classic indicators of physiological distress like clamped fins, spinal curvature, lethargy, resting at the bottom of the tank (which doesn't always mean a bad thing but it does when several of them are doing that), faded pigmentation, and visible abdominal bloating :( several fish also showed signs of early stage fin rot. when we asked an employee about the condition of the fish we also obviously asked to not have to pay full price because you're funny if you think i'd pay for a fish that is very clearly ill and most of them were being abused, we were told that the water in the cups is changed daily, fed daily, etc which is just a pure lie lol. multiple cups contained LOADS of debris and visible algal growth and some of the bottoms of the cups were purely green from algae. from a basic biological standpoint, visible algal films dont develop overnight, they require accumulated nutrient availability (fish waste lol) and prolonged light exposure and it develops over multiple days, not within a 24-hour window. when we took the fish home, we did an ammonia test on the water and the result measured approximately 1.0 ppm ammonia, which is considered toxic for fish. for reference, safe ammonia levels in aquatic systems should be 0 ppm, as even low concentrations can cause gill irritation, physiological stress, lethargy, and immune suppression. for simpler terms, just blatantly lying about how they take care of dependent animals. also when we asked about one particularly lethargic fish exhibiting little to no movement and stress, we were told this behavior was “normal” and that all the bettas in the store were behaving this way. while reduced activity can jappen in confined environments, widespread fin clamping, persistent bottom-resting, faded coloration, and general lethargy across most of them isnt indicative of healthy fish, it IS consistent with chronic environmental stress and inadequate conditions. pretty alarming, as it acknowledged that the majority of the fish were in a compromised state. another explanation provided was that children sometimes feed the fish improperly. of course with kids accidents happen occasionally, but repeated overfeeding leading to bloating and degraded water quality is just proof they're not taking preventative measures. if this is a known issue, some sort of signage should be implemented to protect the animals. and to be clear i understand that retail pet things are designed for temporary holding rather than long-term care but theres a significant difference between temporary housing and widespread observable stress physiology. the combination of lethargy, fin clamping, faded coloration, abdominal swelling, debris accumulation, and visible algal growth just is proof the employee was just trying to protect his ego and be correct rather than acknowledge the downright abuse these animals are facing at their hands. sadly a lot of betta fish are put in these small cups but that doesn't mean it should be brushed off as a "whatever thing". plz put ur ego aside and do better it's heartbreaking :(
Yesterday I went in and bought a harness for my puppy. I got it home and it didn’t fit right so I went back in with him. He was just fully vaccinated last week so it was a big day for him. He was very nervous to go in but with in 15 mins, I could see his confidence grow. Anthony and Amber were amazing help with making him feel comfortable. They were so helpful and kind. We walked up and down the isles and with 30 mins I could see so much change. They also helped with some tips and tricks. Thank you to you both for the amazing experience. Kal-El thanks you both as well.
Went to grab a few food for my pet bird with my 3 year old girl after 8 pm. Sandra was about to feed the reptiles and she happily let my daughter take part in the activity and allowed her to feed the animals! She also grabbed some fish foods and allowed my daughter to help her to feed the fishes! Took the time to explain to her everything my little girl asked out of her curiosity! She enjoyed the entire time and now wants to go back again soon to experience more of this.
I had to jump in and write about this wonderful heartwarming experience; as a mother, who wants her child to truly learn to care for animals! Sandra, you are a wonderful human ❤️
We took our puppy for his first grooming, and we were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Cody did an amazing job taking care of Bandit. He treated our dog with compassion and care, and gave us a few tips for home to make his experience as comfortable as possible. I'll definitely be bringing Bandit back regularly for grooming, and will be asking for Cody, as I feel like Bandit and him seem so comfortable together!
