Highly recommend Rob Martin at PetSmart!
We’ve been taking our dog, Ivy, to Rob’s weekly one-hour classes for several weeks now and the results show. The classes are fun, interactive, and genuinely effective — our dog has made noticeable progress in a short time. We are often hearing how well our dog is behaved. Rob does a great job keeping everyone engaged while making sure the training actually sticks.
What really sets Rob apart is how personalized he makes the experience. He truly caters to each dog and owner’s individual needs, and he’s incredibly generous with his time. He’s always happy to answer questions outside of class or when we need extra help. The weekly schedule has been perfect for building consistency and accountability too.
If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated trainer, Rob is the one. We’re so glad we found him!
The guy up front was super rude. I simply asked if they had big bags for when I left, and he was acting snarky and said I shouldn’t have forgot my bag (I am in work uniform and am tight on time). However, the lady with stretched ears was super helpful, getting product I needed from up high on a shelf. The cashier who checked out my items was super friendly and patient with me too, so that made up for the not-so-nice beginning. I also liked viewing the animals, though the rodents having hay balls is a concern of mine, as they are not safe for them…

We’ve had a great experience with Rob at PetSmart! He’s helped us tremendously with our puppy, who completed beginner training and is now in intermediate, we’re even planning to continue to advanced.
Rob was especially supportive during the “puppy blues” and has helped us work through behavioural challenges. Our dog is much better behaved now and absolutely loves him.
He also goes above and beyond by checking in on our progress and recommending helpful products while showing us how to use them. We’ve even met other great dogs and owners through the classes.
Highly recommend Rob to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring trainer!

The manager, Craig was awesome. He was super honest and upfront about puppy care and training, which we really appreciated as new puppy owners.
He took the time to explain what we actually need for our puppy and what we don’t need. He also gave us great advice on good quality food that’s a great bang for our buck, along with helpful puppy training tips. He was super friendly, easy to talk to, and genuinely helpful. We’ll definitely be going back just to chat with Craig and get more tips as our puppy grows.

We had a fantastic experience with the dog training program here. Robert has been amazing in helping our dog improve both her behaviour and agility skills. He's very patient, knowledgeable, and clearly understands how to work with different dogs and their personalities.
We've seen a big improvement in our dog's day-to-day behaviour since the training started. What really stands out is how dedicated he is. He often goes out of his way to help with advise and guidance even outside of scheduled training sessions when we run into challenges at home.
Robert genuinely cares about the dogs and their progress. I would highly recommend the training program. Your dog is in safe hands with him.
We have a 7months old puppy and we get most of our food supply and toys at the store. It is always clean and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
We also took a puppy training course and the instructor is very knowledge, patient and always demonstrate great care for our puppy. We really like the store and highly recommended.

I have always taken my pug here for grooming and never had any issues. This time however, when I dropped her off the young woman who checked us in was not very pleasant (no it wasn't busy). I had asked for the Valentine's add on package for a digital photo, extra teeth brushing etc. When I picked her up, the young girl who actually groomed my dog didn't know a thing about it. She did do a photo, but I still paid more for nothing because other things were not done that I had paid for. I do not blame the one who did the grooming at all, but I feel I shouldn't have paid for something that wasn't done. I may have to look for another grooming salon.
Lillie has taken multiple levels of PetSmart’s dog training classes with Rob from beginner, intermediate, and advanced and is about to start post-advanced. Classes were both informative and fun and were excellent for learning and interaction. Rob shared his knowledge and advice and went beyond to research additional approaches to training a deaf dog. Lillie (the deaf dog) excels in this structured training environment and Rob's approach helps us to succeed.
