Today (April 7, 2026 at 2:30 PM), I had a grooming appointment for my dog at the PetSmart in 76 Quarry Corners, Brampton and I just want to share how amazing my experience was.
Before going, I had read quite a few negative reviews, but I decided to see for myself, especially because my dog means everything to me. Honestly, I’m so glad I did.
From the moment I walked in, the service was excellent. The cashier noticed I was a bit lost and kindly guided me to the grooming area. Once there, I was welcomed by a very professional and friendly groomer (I believe her name was Aleks). She took the time to clearly explain everything and carefully checked my dog.
While speaking with her, I noticed the team working in the background, calm, focused, and clearly dedicated. The environment was quiet and organized, and all the dogs I saw looked incredibly well-groomed and happy.
Aleks built trust with my dog right away. He was a little nervous at first, but she handled him with such care and patience that he quickly relaxed. That meant a lot to me.
They also kept their word about timing. I received a call about 30 minutes before he was ready, which I really appreciated. When I returned, I even got to see her finishing up with him.
The final result was exactly what I hoped for — my dog looked clean, happy, and perfectly groomed. Aleks also took the time to explain how everything went and gave helpful feedback about his behavior.
What stood out most to me was her genuine love for animals and her professionalism. You can tell she truly cares.
I think it’s important to say this: if something isn’t right, we should speak up in the moment and give the staff a chance to address it. Reading only negative reviews almost stopped me from coming here and that would have been a mistake.
I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you to Aleks and the whole team for such a great experience!

Review for PetSmart - 76 Quarry Edge Dr– Brampton’s Corner (September 6, 2025)
I had a very distressing experience at this PetSmart location during my miniature poodle’s grooming appointment. My 1-year-old poodle was attended by a groomer named “Aaliyah”.
Within 30 minutes of leaving my dog, I received a call asking me to come back because the grooming “could not be completed” as she is not capable to finish the grooming. Upon returning, I was shocked and horrified at the condition of my pet. One leg, one ear, and part of his head had been shaved down to the skin in an uneven, careless manner. This was not what we were told or consented to — we were shown a chart indicating how much length of hair would remain after the trim, but what was done to my dog was nothing close to that. It looked rushed, unprofessional, and traumatic.
The groomer did not even attempt proper grooming techniques with scissors or professional tools before resorting to this patchy shaving. In my opinion, this shows a complete lack of training, skill, and care. Pets are not safe in the hands of people who treat them in such a manner — this borders on cruelty.
When I sought help from the manager “Kim”, instead of showing concern or taking steps to fix the situation, she dismissed my complaint. Even after I insisted that they at least correct the damage they had caused, she refused. Her attitude was unapologetic, unprofessional, and shockingly indifferent. When I told her I would escalate the issue, her response was that any complaint would “come to her only,” as if it did not matter. This kind of behavior is unacceptable when dealing with living, speechless creatures who rely on us for care and safety.
Due to this incident, my pet was in trauma and in shock for 2-3 days. Not even able to eat and sleep properly. This is a pure “Animal Cruelty” by groomer and manager.
On the contrary, later that evening around 7:00 PM, I rushed my pet to the nearest Pet Valu. Their groomer was absolutely shocked to see the condition my dog had been left in. With compassion and professionalism, she immediately took my dog in and began grooming him with utmost care. Despite having already finished her shift, she stayed with us patiently, working until nearly 11:00 PM to comfort my dog and fix the damage as much as possible. Her dedication, skill, and kindness were a blessing — this is the kind of care and respect our pets deserve.
This experience is a direct example of the difference between neglect and true professionalism. PetSmart and their groomers should take serious lessons from places like Pet Valu, where pets are treated with the patience, respect, and humanity they deserve.
Our pets are family, and entrusting them to untrained and careless hands is dangerous. What happened at PetSmart Bovaird Plaza should never happen to anyone else.
I believe that PetSmart Management would take appropriate action against Aaliyah and Kim by recalling their grooming license or training!!
I took Zoë to this location today. Maria, the groomer, did an amazing job grooming my Frenchie Zoë! She clearly loves what she does. Zoë came back looking clean, happy, and absolutely adorable. Maria took great care of her and paid attention to all the details. I’m very happy with the service and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend Maria!”

I’ve been going to PetSmart for over 4 years and this is by far the worst experience I’ve had, and honestly, it’s becoming a pattern.
The management here is completely disorganized and clearly does not respect customers’ time or responsibilities as pet owners. I booked a grooming appointment 4 weeks in advance. Then I get a last-minute call saying the groomer is “unavailable.” No proper planning, no backup, just the usual “unfortunately, we apologize.”
I tried calling the entire next day and no one bothered to pick up. Then they rescheduled me again, only to cancel AGAIN on the day of the appointment. At this point, my dog has been waiting over 2 extra weeks because of THEIR poor management.
What’s worse is the attitude. It’s always the same scripted apology with zero accountability. Even speaking to the manager was pointless, completely unprofessional and no real solution offered.
They clearly don’t understand that grooming isn’t optional, it’s important for a dog’s health. Nor do they care about people’s work schedules or the effort it takes to plan these appointments.
If you value your time and your pet’s care, I would seriously think twice before relying on this location.
I was disappointed with the customer service during my recent visit to PetSmart. Today I was there around 2.30 to 2.45pm. The cashier was very unhelpful and seemed uninterested in assisting customers. She asked me to pick up the bag and pack my own items, even though that is normally part of the cashier’s service. I understand everyone can have a busy day, but basic customer service and politeness should still be maintained. I hope the management improves staff training and customer experience in the future.
Absolutely worse customer service. Three times now my husband has gone in for items, food and services purchased for our rescue dog and the STORE MANAGER; not sure how that happened... is always incredibly rude and condescending when asked questions and or requires assistance for services not rendered. Complaint has been submitted to head office and they were astonished at the store managers behviour in this matter. Do better, there are far more reliable pet stores and this sort of attitude and lying to customers is completely unacceptable.

As other recent reviews indicate, the grooming staff (March 2026) are incredibly rude, don't care about their customers or pets, and are not accommodating.
"Aalyiah," in particular, avoid as she'll purposefully deny you service.
I was less than 15mins late in the middle of a snowstorm, I still made the effort to honour the appointment despite unplowed roads. When I arrived no one came out to greet me for a few minutes, which was odd, then finally someone came out to inform me that "due to being almost 20mins late we can no longer fulfill your appointment"--but I wasn't that late, they made it seem as such.
The entire team of 5 staff stood in the salon ignoring me, to ensure they could deny us service.
It wasn't even the groomer Aaliyah who spoke to me. Someone else stopped grooming a dog to come out and turn me away.
I escalated to a manager right away because I know my dog gets an easy, one-length cut. It doesn't ever take the full time we are booked for. The first manager wouldn't help me, thankfully someone else came and offered to rebook and a free groom. We won't be going back, I don't know if I can trust them with my dog.
Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service and care from a number of the groomers on site.

I highly recommend Celeste as a pet trainer! She has been working with my chihuahua mix puppy, Chico, through intermediate training and brain games, and we are about to start advanced training soon. Celeste has a wonderfully holistic approach—she truly meets the emotional needs of Chico while also guiding me to better understand and connect with my pup. Her training style not only improves the dog's behavior but also helps humans become more empathetic and effective in communicating with their pets. Celeste’s methods have made a noticeable positive difference in Chico’s development and our relationship. If you want a trainer who cares deeply about both the dog and owner, Celeste is the one to choose!
We took our dog Jasper to PetSmart for grooming on July 17th at their AIRPORT ROAD Location, and we've been living a nightmare ever since.
