For over $200 this is not acceptable.
I was hoping for my dog to look great for Christmas and was left shocked. When I first arrived to drop him off, I told them to give him a shortcut but not too short since it's the winter.
Secondly, the groomer asked me how do I want him to look and showed me a picture of a cockapoo with a short/ medium cut with who has fluffy ears. I tell him yes that's perfect. That's usually how my dog gets groomed. Short and neat all around but his ears staying poofy.
My wife goes to pick him up and is shocked to say the least. She's asking what they did to the dog, and all they kept saying was just Merry Christmas and if she wants to talk to the groomer.
Now if you didn't cut enough you can fix it. When you cut too much, there's nothing you can do.
Not only he was groomed incorrectly, cut chunks off all over his body instead of being nice and tidy. I had slight suspicions when they said it would only take an hour and a half compared to usually taking 3 to 4 hours to do him.
I have added pictures of him after the groomers here and how he is usually supposed to look after the groomers.
Shawna did an amazing job with our dog! He is a very nervous pooch, and gets rather nervous at grooms, however, I feel comfortable knowing he’s in Shawna’s hands! She does a great job, and he always looks fantastic. She also won’t overdo it if it’s going to cause the dog distress. I much rather my dog come home slightly damp, for example, than be completely stressed out over a full dry that he couldn’t tolerate. She is very good at communicating how things went and never has a problem addressing any potential concerns.
There is some incongruency on the website about pricing, policy (e.g., bringing your dog in every 3-6 weeks or having to pay an extra up to $50+ - which shouldn’t apply to double coated dogs that *shouldn’t* be bathed more than every 12 weeks), and additional add-ons, etc., which nearly steered us away from the salon. However, I would suggest checking in with the salon ahead of time – or requesting Shawna for explanation. She was able to provide a bath and tidy option which included everything and suited our needs. Actually, if it wasn’t for her, we would have went elsewhere! She is great, and my dog loves her! Request Shawna and you can rest assured that your pup is in good hands - which is helpful if you’re a nervous dog mom like me! 😊
Enrique did such an amazing job! It was our first time coming here and my pup’s 3rd time grooming, but it was such a pleasant experience. Millie was groomed beautifully and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Today was such a great experience. I brought my dog to Melissa this morning for a bath and clean up. He has been so stressed during our baths and nail trims at home recently, I wanted to try him in a new environment.
Melissa took the time to listen to all I wanted to share about my boy and my concerns. She remained so calm and was very patient in her responses to me. Rico was nervous to walk in but when I picked him up, he came out of the back in a calm headspace and not stressed at all! I’m so pleased!! He looks and smells great too!
The whole process from booking online, to receiving reminders and updates has been so seamless and efficient. The shop is super cute and even had a little welcome sign greeting my boy by name!!
We’re so impressed with the good calm vibes this place offers, we will definitely be back and we would absolutely highly recommend!
I have three chihuahuas and take them to Pooches N' Pals to see Melissa every few weeks. She is great with Chihuahuas, especially since she has a few of her own. Melissa has been grooming dogs for over 10 years, and she loves what she does. I say this because she always smiles when she sees my dogs, and they're never anxious or fight to go back with her to get pampered. Highly recommend this family-owned business, and if you do visit, definitely ask for Melissa!
