So happy with this service! My little buddy, Hudson, is a rescue, and can be a bit nervous around meeting new people. I have also never used a walking service before, so I was a bit apprehensive. I work unusual hours and can sometimes be away from the house with him all alone for 8-10 hours. So I decided to give Release the Hounds a try. Maryam came to meet Hudson before the first walk and instantly made him comfortable. Such a relief! She is so good with him and he LOVES her! The best part is I get daily updates of pictures on their walks. Honestly, this puts me at so much ease knowing he is getting out and having fun. She totally gets that I am more stressed out about him being home all day than he is. Now when I come home he is excited to see me and doesn't bolt for the back yard to get outside. I wish I had started working with RTH sooner!! JJ

We have been extremely happy with Release the Hounds. It is very clear the walkers loved our dog and our dog loved them. He always looked forward to seeing them whenever they came to pick him up for his walk. They would go all over Metro Vancouver, location depending on the weather. We frequently observed mutual hugs on pick-up and drop off. We would highly recommend Release the Hounds for anyone looking for an adventure for their dog.

I have used Release the Hounds for my black lab Souris for 4 years. We had needed a replacement for our previous service and this outfit came with great references. We have been very happy with their service, we have used them for dog walking, dog boarding and house/pet sitting. The dog walkers are all fantastic, they clearly love dogs and they take very good care of our active pup. She has an unfortunate habit of eating inappropriate things and they have been diligently working with me to curb it. When we moved, we were able to continue with their service. I never worry when she is with them and she is always very happy when they arrive to take her for her walk. Best of all, Souris is tired and happy when she comes back!

Our massive labradoodle has been out on walks at least once a week with Release The Hounds and it's been a great service. He comes home happy and exhausted. The best part? I have a basic security camera at my front door. I've seen how the dog walker handles Charlie and it is heartwarming. He talks to him, always lets him take a pee before hopping in the van and is never in a rush. That was my only concern with a dog walking service and these folks are genuinely kind and compassionate people. Would recommend to anyone looking for a dog walking service.

I am always so happy with the care that my dog Parker receives from Release the Hounds while I am away! I can't even express how grateful I am. My dog is senior and does not get along with other dogs. So when I go away, she can't be boarded with ground or at kennels. She needs to be taken care of by an experienced handler who knows dogs well and can handle her "quirks". I am so grateful that Release the Hounds offers this service! There are lots of dog walkers and kennels, but few companies offer the option to have someone qualified and reliable stay at your house with your dog. Knowing that my dog is in caring and compassionate hands with Release the Hounds really helps me enjoy my vacations, and my sitter Luke's willingness to keep me updated each day on how things are going is so appreciated. The first time I booked overnight dog care with Release the Hounds, they came and met my dog for no extra charge and answered all my many questions. My house is always left in spotless condition and Parker is relaxed and happy when I come home. Everyone who I have dealt with at Release the Hounds has been prompt, professorial, and very helpful. They truly understand the unique needs of individual dogs and dog owners and go out of their way to keep their clients happy. I am continually impressed and always recommend Release the Hounds to all my dog-owning friends!

James and his team at Release the Hounds have been looking after my Weimaraner Porter since early April. I am currently using their private walk service but know I have many options available including longer group walks, hikes and even boarding. I return home each day to a detailed written report of Porter's adventure that day. I have complete peace of mind knowing he's been out to have a run around and returned home to a snack and a fresh bowl of water. I have only good things to say about Release the Hounds. The team is professional, organized and email questions and schedule changes are replied to promptly. Release the Hounds is an outstanding and reliable service. James (the owner) and the dog walkers are extremely professional, friendly, reliable and really care about their clients. When I first became a client of Release the Hounds, James kindly travelled into the city (at my convenience) to meet me and my dogs and talk about the services Release the Hounds offers. James is very responsive by email, telephone and text. I have always heard back from James within hours of contacting him, whether it be on the weekend, in the evening or on his days off. Many times I have made last minute requests to Release the Hounds and they have gone out of their way to accommodate me. Release the Hounds also offers flexible boarding services, allowing clients to choose between having a staff member stay at their home with their dog or have their dog stay at a staff members home. One of my dogs needs very special attention during walks; he tries to eat anything and everything off of the ground. The dog walkers have been very attentive to this and take extra care when walking him. I highly recommend Release the Hounds and assure you that your dog(s) will be in great hands.

Scam! Crooks! Stay away! We purchased a package in December for our dog to be walked while we were on vacation. The package was $420.75.
