Gaylene was professional and friendly, and kept in communication with us so we didn’t need to worry while away. She is licensed and insured, which gave us peace of mind. She accommodated us for a last minute trip, and we will definitely be using her services again when we go away (we promise with more notice next time!).

We will definitely call Gaylene again for house and pet checks! For a recent trip, she checked in on the house and cared for our two cats. A few weeks leading up to the trip, she does a consultation to explain her process and gather information about all the things about the home.

I was called away to work very short notice (3 days) for 5 weeks, and my friend who usually looks after my cats was unable to take care of them. I contemplated taking the cats with me but they get major anxiety for even just a 10 minute drive to the vet (for reference, I was called to Prince George BC). I googled cat sitter in Edmonton and Take Care and Home was the first result that came up... and for good reason. Gaylene was able to come by the next day and meet me and the cats. She was so professional, took lots of notes on everything, from their personality types to how much of each food they get, to where they hide. Everything! Plus I was provided with daily cat photos which was a big deal for me as I really missed them for the 5 weeks I was gone. I just got back today and wanted to leave a review for anyone who is in a similar situation as myself, or will find themselves away from home. Gaylene was absolutely fantastic and I highly, highly recommend trusting her with your cats. She is an animal lover and it shows. Thank you so much Gaylene!!

This was the first time using Gaylene's services and I am super thankful for everything she did. From the first meeting, she was super professional with all of the paperwork she provided and her attention to detail. This was our first time leaving our cat by himself and Gaylene made sure he was taken care of. She also ensured that all aspects of our home were taken care of even during the coldest days of -40C. She went above and beyond by clearing our furnace exhaust of ice buildup. She was super responsive during her visits and provided us with the picture updates of our cat. She provided us with the peace of mind we wanted while away from home. Definitely will use her services again. 10/10. Would recommend Gaylene to anyone looking to use her services.

I hired Take Care Home and Pet Watch for the first time while I was away in November/December 2023. Gaylene was amazing - so organized - punctual - personable. It was nice to be away on a trip worry-free knowing my home was being looked after so carefully. It was a pleasure to work with Gaylene and will definitely be using her services again in the future.

Gaylene was super to work with - very professional and friendly. I liked knowing she was insured and bonded, and had a plan for any emergency that might occur - so much better than asking friends or family to give up their time. We felt very comfortable leaving our home, plants, yard and our little fish tank in Gaylene’s competent hands. Together we planned out how many home checks and what days she would come to the house, and she was very practical and careful. We will definitely use her services in the future.
