Can't say enough about the wonderful experiences I have had at the shop. We took our 2 conures in the having their grooming done (beaks,nails and flight feathers), they were so good with them, listened and talked to me and dealt with .y anxiety as this was my 1st time taking them somewhere (they are less then a year old) and the staff was amazing. My shy girl bird that don't like .any strangers touching her let the lady hold her, she even had our male laying on his back in her hand. She did so amazing with our babies we will be back again. We even spoiled our babies while there with new toys.
I highly recommend this store. The knowledge of the owner and staff members is evident in how well the animals are cared for and every interaction with customers. They spend the time to answer all of your questions and give helpful suggestions. We are bird lovers and Janna has at least 30+ years of knowledge and experience to share. She offers training sessions for bird owners as well as grooming appointments. All the birds she buys are very healthy and come from trusted, reputable breeders with the highest of standards. All of her products are carefully selected with bird safety and wellness in mind. We just bought a cockatiel from her and she is absolutely lovely. I'm never going to another pet store again. Urban Zoo is the place to go.
I have been buying my pet supplies for my Dog and Budgie for 4 years now. The mother, daughter and staff really show how much they care about what they are selling. The information they provide about there products and pets helps allot when choosing what you need. There is also a selection of exotic birds and animals to choose from along with everything you need to care for them. Worth checking them out. Keep up the good work.
I highly recommend this place the owner and her daughter are highly professional and know how to take care of parrots. They know a lot about them. If you need advice they know 100%. If you are looking for a place to leave your bird when you go away, I highly recommended this place they were so loving to my 2 conures and they give them toys and food. they treat them very well and they are really good at grooming. Even my parrots love them :)

I have been a long time customer of The Urban Zoo as I have a zoo of my own at home. A bunny, cat, and 2 snakes. The owner and manager are some of the nicest people I've ever met that are so willing to answer all of my anxious pet parent questions. Its always a pleasure to come in for a visit to say hi to them and Lady and Jose, and to buy more food and supplies for my furry and scaled babies. So exciting to hear about the move to a bigger store and its so close! Can't wait to see the new store front all stocked with so much more products for all the babies!
In addition to their general kindness with people, I've brought my bunny in to get his nails done a few times and the manager Alanna has been so helpful and gentle with the process.
Overall loved the store and can't wait to see the new space.
I happened upon this pet store one day and I feel privileged to have met some amazing people! The most helpful mother/daughter team who really, truly care about educating people so they can offer their animals the best, healthiest life! I moved 8 hours away and their advice is still my "go to" before trying a new product with my bird! And their live-in parrots are absolutely the best, especially the one footed Lady. Thanks for everything Caitlyn and Janna :)
I Can't say enough about the wonderful experiences I have had at the shop. The owner and staff are so knowledgeable and caring. They are there for me always with any support I need. I have 11 parrots all from the urban zoo! I trust them with grooming all of my birds. And I can always get everything I need for supplies. They also have an amazing selection of small animals and reptiles. An interesting place to visit and you can trust the staff, to be honest. Recently I have started shopping online on their website fantastic experience.
