I brought Nini, my daughterβs cat, here for an exam and grooming. The staff were extremely professional, respectful, and kind. They make you feel like you are dealing with close family members.
The clinic is clean, well-organized, and welcoming. I truly appreciate the whole team, especially Jill, for her excellent management and care. Highly recommended!

The team at the Secord Hospital on Yonge Street is AMAZING, and Dr. McMullen is BRILLIANT. Our wonderful recently adopted puppy had reacted with lots of drama when he got his first vaccination (elsewhere), and we were dreading the visit. Dr. McMullen distracted Nico with some yummy chicken and rice so Nico was oblivious to the needle. And then she went on to deftly put drops in his nose; it was so smoothly done that Nico did not even wince. (Dr. McMullen could have a second career as a magician :-).
The receptionists - Colleen and Hannah - are helpful, knowledgeable and responsive. The CareClub package offers very good value (and thankfully includes unlimited nail clippings).
The Secord and Dr. McMullen were highly recommended by friends of ours; based on our first visit, we can see why. Dr. McMullen even called this evening to let us know that Nico's pathogen test results were fine. Given Nico is our first pet ever, we are especially grateful to have connected with the Secord and with Dr. McMullen.
Very accommodating, attentive friendly staff. Location is good. They have pet products for sale. There are different veterinarians you can choose too. Many parking area around with fee. There are few behind the store which is free. Lots of different shops in the area. Bus run and stop every few minutes. No line ups today. They take walk in check ups for regular clients.

Tldr: more expensive than other vets but 100% worth it. Especially when they help you use cheaper preventative options
They are the absolute best. We had a wonderful boxer for 8 years and they were great to her. She loved people and had tons of energy so she'd get really excited to go to the vet each time and want to play with everyone there. They were super understanding and loved playing with her, and were still able to examine her.
She had allergies during the fall which they helped us treat, and once in a while this resulted in a hot spot, which they were also great about helping us handle.
They're more expensive than other vets but we always found this worth it. Especially for times where they would recommend much cheaper preventative treatments, like washing our dog's paws with a pretty basic soap mixture everytime she comes inside during allergy season to help prevent itching + hotspots.
They also were super responsive by phone or email, though keep in mind not open on weekends so have an emergency vet you know to deal with off hours emergencies.
In the end when our dog got a sadly untreatable cancer they diagnosed it really well and advised us honestly about the options. We took her in to them to put her down when the time came and they were extremely supportive and nice, with multiple people coming in to see her and say goodbye and have one last playtime. It was the best possible experience for her and us in a terrible situation that softened it a lot.
Cannot recommend enough!

Kit-Cast, a stakeholder in the Ridder rocketeers/musketeers, had long been troubled by teeth from a rough life before he saved this man (Mi hombre slept atop my belly on a floor mat for months: deal-done and dusted). Mister-Man helped light his Daddy-Dude's fire, a fierce vigor for life and love. He brought angel wings: double down when faced with "titans" of disabling despair. Cat & me got a quaint home together. Since then, his Cat-dadio fell in love with the moon/lady: black cats bring prosperity by purpose, pride and peace (him and my doggo would have been best-buds)π₯². Cast loved wifey instantly too: destiny. We-three have a passion for love & life. In a tantilizing whirlwind: my boy and I flew north and began life a-new. π΅βπ« Both teeth from past trauma finally safely removed by Sarah: him + parents happy! Our moon-eyed child, a fuzz-nugget of innocence and empathy, free (his parents too). π« Jennifer, Wilma, Coline, Owen and the team of VCA Vet-Techs were incredible! Thank you All at Secord VCA, sincerely, this satisfied fur-fam πββ¬
I had an unpleasant experience with the receptionist at this clinic. When I called with a concern about my pet, I was met with a dismissive attitude. Rather than listening respectfully, she cut me off and spoke in a condescending tone, showing no empathy or professionalism. Even after the issue was confirmed, there was no apology from the receptionist. It's disappointing to be treated this way when you're already worried about your pet. The front desk is the first point of contact, and unfortunately, this one left a very negative impression.
